Veteran-owned Business’ Event Raises Money for K-9 – As Seen on WEAU
As Seen on WEAU:
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) — A veteran-owned business gathered local artists together to raise money for a cause close to its heart this afternoon.
Marc-On Shooting hosted a patriotic artwork sale to benefit the Chippewa Falls K-9 fundraising effort.
The show featured pieces like wood-carved flags and metal art from artists from across western Wisconsin.
The proceeds from the event will go directly to fund set-up to raise money for a new police dog in Chippewa Falls.
Organizers of the event say having a police K-9 will help fight dangerous drugs in Chippewa Falls
“Some of us are ex law enforcement officers; most of us are all ex-military. We back everybody in uniform and this was our way of looking around the community,” says Dan Marcon, owner of Marc-On Shooting. “We go on social media and see a lot of these artists on their trying to sell their wares and stuff that they make and we just wanted a place that they could showcase.”
Marc-On shooting says they hope to host another event in the spring.
Marc-On Shooting features an indoor firing range, pro shop, training center and complete gunsmithing services. Marcon Shooting is west central Wisconsin’s largest and most exciting shooting sports facility.
