Lake Hallie, WI – The employees and customers of Marc-on Shooting in Lake Hallie worked together to raise $500 for the Lake Hallie Police Department Canine Unit through fundraising efforts and a match from their owners. They will present the check Sgt. Dan Sokup, Lake Hallie Police Department on Tuesday.
“We couldn’t think of a better unit to support than our local canine unit in Lake Hallie,” said owner Dan Marcon.
The Village of Lake Hallie implemented a canine unit in 2015. The dog lives with an officer who serves as his handler. This allows them to train and work together. The cost to care for a canine unit can be expensive and that is why the Village of Lake Hallie Police Department is establishing a fund to help with these costs.“We have a great relationship with the Lake Hallie Police Department and we admire the added value of safety that the canine unit brings to our community,” Marcon added.
Marc-On Shooting features an indoor firing range, pro shop, training center and complete gunsmithing services. We are west central Wisconsin’s largest and most exciting shooting sports facility.
